Whether you know a few words, studied French years ago, or are starting from scratch, join us for relaxed, friendly sessions in the heart of Todmorden. Beginners, rusty learners and curious minds alike are all welcome.

Clare’s love of France began as a teenager, leading to decades of travelling, studying, working and acting as an unofficial interpreter on town twinning visits. From French campsites to champagne houses, cheese factories to sweet factories (with plenty of stories in between!), she brings experience, enthusiasm and a love of French life and culture.
These evenings are about building confidence, making connections and celebrating the friendship between Todmorden and Roncq — two towns with shared industrial heritage and a strong bond that continues to this day. Twinned in friendship since 1984.
